I'm starting to get paranoid, you know, after studying them Platyhelminthes, Nematoda, and Annelida. I swear, images of the Ascaris on the internet are not for the weak.[Okay I was supposed to post an entry last night, but I realized the WiFi was turned off.]So it's Friday night. I'm exhausted, and my eyebags cannot get any more prominent than this. I should be more eager about the three-day break, but frankly, I have no weekend. I've got two three exams, an FR, a handful of plates, a dichotomous key, a 71.1 worksheet and a problem set to keep me busy. Plus there's this Tiburcio family celebration this weekend that I dare not miss. And it doesn't surprise me anymore. It's been this way since day one of college. And it's probably never gonna end until I retire from research work or die-- whichever comes first.Okay, forgive the sinister undertone. I did say I am exhausted. And yet I continue to write, as writing for me is therapeutic.Sometimes, grade school and high school seems to be a lot easier. But considering the more numerous subjects (of rather dispersed fields, mind you) I had to take per semester (erm.. 'kay, YEAR), it's still quite a wonder how I managed to inch my way through elementary and secondary school. I mean, consider Reading-Language/English, with Christian Living Ed/ Christian Life and Math. Juxtapose Home Economics and Living(?) Ed/ Technology Home Economics, Filipino, and Music. Plus, think about the other subjects I took but am too tired to remember. Consider too that my brain and body is still that of a 7-17 year-old. No wonder I was skin and bones most of the time.Oh wait, who could forget Science class- a five-unit class (with lab later on) that everyone was required to take. SCIENCE CLASS. Wow. How generic. It was better though, when starting at sophomore year, we started calling them biology, chemistry, and physics. [These are my subjects this sem btw, Bio 12, Chem 31, and Physics 71. FUN.]Still, it's quite hilarious how one would compare my high school with that of my Science High School blockmates. I recall having this conversation with one of them.Blockmate: [...] So we have a Zoology-related club, a Chemistry club, a Physics one, an Astronomy club. Meron pa atang mga Botany-related org, may club ata para sa mahilig sa mechanical stuff.Me: Ah talaga? Err... sa amin, we have Science Club. :|Mmmkay nakakatawa. What's even more surprising (?) was that I never really wanted to join Science Club. Di ko feel mag-acads related sa non Acads thing. I wasn't always that much of a science nerd thankyouverymuch. Siguro ngayong college lang ako nagpakalunod sa sciences ('cause I had no choice, really).***
